We all have moments where we are accused by our loved one about how empty our conscious is and yet we are all to familiar with the dreams of the people we love. Its like once they leave our lives they enter our dreams, maybe only to haunt us that much more any true lover will remember this.
3. I am here without you. but you are still with me in my dreams- I am Here without you, 3 Doors Down
Yes again with the dreams because this does take place with people who fall in and out of love and quite often this will destroy your mornings for a long time !
4. I wanna taste her lips, yeah cos they taste like you – Girl Crush, Little Big Town
This is one song that I feel is so dark yet so beautiful, One of the most beautiful ways to showcase jealousy, we do this every time, with cars, houses etc we covet the things that others have and it can go to some extreme levels when our loved one appreciates those very things that we covet !
5.I’m not that chained up little girl who is still in love with you – I Will Survive, Gloria Gaynor
Gloria brings out the survivor in this song choosing one line form this song was so difficult cos I felt like every line must be here ! If you have heard the song then you know what I am talking about if not you should defiantly listen to this song !
6.Only know your lover when you let her go – Let Her Go, Passenger
So True, Most lovers can admit that after the breakup their Ex suddenly becomes so much hotter ! and its so true, you know what they say Grass is always greener on the other side! But Passenger adds a beautiful philosophical angle to this concept and by us remembering all the things that our beautiful ex’s did !
7.You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness – Somebody i used to know, Gotye
If anybody has been in a heart break for over a year you will understand what this line means, I feel that this song is for a Rebound girl that the author fell in love with! And that happens sometimes. Sometimes our hearts are really stupid!
8. Loving you forever can’t be wrong, even though you are not here, I wont move on – Dark Paradise, Lana del Ray
This is a beautiful line from Dark paradise which says that sometimes we are just not ready to move on no matter what people tell us, they can’t understand but you do and making them understand is pointless, sometimes it’s ok not to move on!
9. Toote zamaane tere haath nigode, haath nigode Jinse dilo ke tune Sheeshe tode – Lambi Judai, Reshma
This is from a Western frontier Folk song. The region comprises of modern day Rajasthan, Punjab and parts of Pakistan. I will try my best to translates this line keeping the spirit alive- “May your Cruel Hands break oh society those Cruel hands with which you broke our Delicate Hearts” (The authors references the society breaking apart a couple and their by breaking their love, because of differences cast, creed, status etc )
10.Karib hai shab e gam ki sahar udas na ho – Mujhe Gale se lagalo, Sahir Ludhyanvi
No list is complete without the great Sahir Ludhyanvi, ths guy was amazing in adding layers within his poems! And songs this particular line is amazing, it is one lover telling another about things will get better , but the way he says it is so awesome ! this song can roughly be translated to “The Morning after the dreadful night of pain is close at hand do not be sad !”
